DongHwa Entec Co., Ltd. is fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through annual corporate philanthropic activities, including “Love Briquette Sharing”, “Love Rice Sharing”, “Hearty Meal Sharing”, “Love Side Dish Sharing”, “Love Blood Donation”, “Children Support Project” and“Scholarship Project”.

The company meets its ethical responsibilities and social obligations to maintain harmony with the local community and its interested parties through “Sharing Management”.

These initiatives are particularly meaningful given that all employees chip in a minimum amount from their salaries, less than 1,000 KRW, to benefit our volunteer activities.

The former in-house volunteering group “Cheonsarang Society,” marking the 41st anniversary of its establishment in 2021, has rebranded to “DO DREAM” (also meaning “knocking” in Korea).

The name reflects our employees’ vision of fulfilling their dreams.

The DO DREAM operations team stated, “We have a plan to actively push ahead our volunteer activities, to share warmth with our neighbors. We will strive even further to make meaningful contributions to the local community through various volunteer activities in the future.”

As DO DREAM’s first activity, the team visited Busan Briquette Bank and discussed with Minister Gang Jeong-chil, representative of the Bank, a general plan for joint activities.

Minister Jang Jeong-chil, Busan Briquette Bank representative, said that he was concerned about rapidly declining donations from companies due to difficulties caused by COVID-19, and expressed gratitude for DongHwa Entec’s continued support.

He requested companies’ and organizations’ attention and cooperation in order to overcome this hard time, where many of our neighbors are experiencing more hardship due to COVID-19.

Busan Briquette Bank is running various social philanthropic activity programs, including energy donation of briquettes, heaters, gas, electric blankets and fans; operation of a youth center for supporting learning and providing school uniforms, cultural activities and scholarships; operation of a rice bank for donating rice to low income families; operation of a dining table community for providing hearty meals made with care for the elderly and a local welfare campaign for sharing kimchi and donating daily necessities and refreshments.
